As much as I like Yume Nikki... Earthbound/the Mother series is just better, imo.The locations are more interesting, there are plenty of weird characters, and frankly it has parts which are much scarier than Yume Nikki, which is pretty tame.

Lucas's nightmare... that's probably the SCARIEST part of M3, nevermind that it wasn't in there...Then there's Giygas...Oh god....I STILL never recovered from him...I'm sorry but Uboa has nothing on Giygas. (imo)

I absolutely love Yume Nikki... but Mother 3 is probably my favorite game ever. Earthbound was also amazing. Even though I got the entire game spoiled to me thanks to Starmen.net, Mother 3 made me cry a lot. Not just at the ending.
