FIRST POST IN UBOACHAN YAYAYAYAYAYAY[/lurkmoar] Yeah, after lurking so much, I've decided to post for once. And I can totally tell this'll be a bad idea, and I'll get flamed to hell and back and whatnot. ; A;

ON TO THE TOPIC AT HAND. I finished Yume Nikki today, at 4AM. I wanted to stall the ending, because it makes me sad, and decided to do something with the eggs that just made me think of Mado's mentality, and is cleverly something she says when you can't do something. (It says dare, btw, which I think is the one that means 'It's hopeless...' If not, well, I guess telling herself not to do what she's going to works just as well. :D)

So, ever stalled the game's end and gone creative with the egg placement, /yume/? Or just done something creative with the eggs overall? Btw, yes, I know I'm missing the flute egg. I forgot to drop it while making it. D:

Welcome to uboachan as a poster then, since this is your first post lol.

I didn't actually stall the ending, I tried avoiding learning what the ending actually was. So while playing, once I had finally attained all the eggs, I dropped them eagerly.

I did spend a little time at one point dicking around with them though, because I managed to glitch-drop a couple within one another. The end result was kinda trippy and I got a chuckle out of it.

I was more than depressed when I was presented with the end, lol. And sort of disappointed. I felt it was kind of anti-climactic. Then again, I don't think it could've had any other ending.

I went OC and coupled the eggs with their corresponding doors.
Then I marveled at my boredom

then I realized Madotsuki was laying eggs

so I tried to make her fly

yes, yes, true story, true story

But really, I wasted a lot of time watching Madotsuki lay eggs and watch them jiggle around.

The true reality of why the game ended. Madotsuki wasn't depressed, but was deluded by her dreams into thinking she was really a bird.

First, you find the chicken. It is located in the desert world, behind a fence. You cross the fence by digging a hole, which you can do by disassembling your bike and re-assembling it into the Shovel Effect. You can disassemble your bike after you collect 100 hearts from the vending machines and visiting the mall world toriningen behind the desk. She'll give you Wrench Effect.

Once you find the chicken you have to repeatedly kill the chicken with knife effect. There's about a 1/25 chance of the chicken changing into an egg.

Leave screen, return, the chicken will be there again. Repeat as necessary until you have all 24 eggs in your inventory.

Then you can go back to the toriningen and you can trade the wrench in ( don't forget to return your bike to normal!) and she'll give you a frying pan. Go to the room with the big fire in it and you can make yourself some yume delicious omlettes.

Incorrect. Dare (だれ）means "who." What Madotsuki says is DAME, (だめ) which does actually mean "it's hopeless"/ not allowed/ not worth it, etc. (the other word she says is muri （むり), "it's impossible"/I can't do it/it's do hard/I give up etc.
