Ran into this around the internet, and was wondering if there was a real portable version of Yume Nikki?
PSP,DS,GBA it doesn't matter what, I just wanna take it with me.

I want it too...I have a PSP and everything! D8

>> No.2853   [Delete]   [Edit]

There must be some way to make it work. I saw a legit video of someone playing Mother 3 on their PSP somewhere before.
We need some sort of hacking god to make it happen probably though...

Is it really that hard to learn how to emulate?

>> No.2857   [Delete]   [Edit]

I have a PSP and have found great emulators for GB, GBC, GBA, NES, SNES, SMS, and GG. But havn't found crap for any other systems, and wouldn't even know where to begin to get Yume Nikki working on it.

It's got the right amount of buttons to have a pretty good control scheme... so? How do?

when i first saw yume nikki i assumed it WAS a GBA game, and was disappointed when i found out it wasn't. a GBA port of it would be amazing.

Oh yeah this could definantly be possible. If you take the application and convert it to an ISO using a simple Batch file and mount it on a UMD disc it could totaly work. Now I wanna try this but I don't have a PSP, my friend does I bet I could get it to work real simple. UMD discs are like 5 bucks real cheap.

That's... not how PSP homebrew and hacking works.
>>2853
Mother 3 is a GBA game.
There are several good GBA emulators for PSP.

Yup, GBA emulator on PSP, I played through all of Mother 3 on it.

If you want an app to run on the PSP at all it needs to be made for the PSP, you can't just put something in a disk and expect it to run.

PSPs need custom firmware to run homebrew applications which are generally stored and booted off of the memory stick. I searched around for something to let me run RPG Maker games on the PSP with and I found an old Spanish project that was dropped in the alpha stages. It would not run Yume Nikki. That being said, I don't completely doubt something's out there to let you do this, but I could not find anything to do that. There IS, however, an official RPG Maker system coming to the Nintendo DS and there may be a small possibility we could import RPG Maker Games into it, although I feel that possibility is low. So as for now, this is probably a fake. You can still search around if you want.

Ever since i got my new phone with Windows mobile i was hoping that i could play Yume Nikki on it. Someone make a small boy happy and finish this project!

I dont know if it will even run Yume Nikki but RPG MAKER on mobile would still be pretty awsome

Speaking of mobile...
How hard would it be to rewrite the game's code into java?

>> No.2967   [Delete]   [Edit]

I want it too, but as shown in the picture it kinda looks like a PSP, not sure though.

I don't really have my facts straight at all. I just felt the urge to reply to someone, with a reason to reply. ;w;

It sounds like your saying The PSP in the picture of Yume Nikki for PSP looks like a PSP?

>>2947
I really dont know much about that, the closest thing Ive ever done to that were a few PK Hacks on Earthbound...
Which gives me an idea... YumeBound anyone? Is it possible...?

That is a PSP. I have one just like that. It's the older model; the newer ones are lighter and much more expensive.
