Alright, I've been browsing this chan for some hours now. It's 2 AM and besides the fact that I'm even more creeped out due to my own imagination and theories about the game, I also noticed there seem to be a lot of female posters on here.

If not EVERYONE being female.

Seriously. So anyone who's male, say "Me."

This page shows only the latest 50 replies to this thread. For the other 11, refer to the full thread page.

  1. "No girls on the interwebs" is a bloody joke/meme thing, don't take it srsly.
  2. You are the only one I am seeing making even a slight bit of a deal about this. It doesn't really matter what gender is dominant here. OP probably doesn't care too much if there are more girls than boys. OP just wanted a head count of males I'm pretty sure.

Now quit yer complaining, get back in the kitchen and make me a sandwich.

That being said, I am also a Man. ,o/

4chan fags. You still go to that shithole?

>> No.1372   [Delete]   [Edit]

>>1371
This person is just a shithole.

>> No.1373   [Delete]   [Edit]

>>1371

Most of 4chan is a shithole, yes - but /c/ is still worth visiting, and /rs/ is pretty useful if you don't mind wading through a few pages of dreck and irrelevant stuff thanks to a shitty search system.

Also; 'nuther male here.

>> No.1374   [Delete]   [Edit]

Me, and liking Yume Nikki isn't girlish. Actually, I thought there would be a LOT less males and MORE stupid "omgsokawaiidesudesu" nippofile female fans, a fandom race that I loathe (and I hope I'm not the only one...

>> No.1376   [Delete]   [Edit]

>>1374
I'm agreeing on the last part. Even if one or two people here might have tendencies to be so "random XD ^^;;" they still have brains. Or at least more brains than I saw on most other *chans.

I'm not sure about the first part of the post though. I never really thought Yume Nikki could be girly to anyone.

Except of course for people who don't know what it is. At all.

>> No.1378   [Delete]   [Edit]

>>1376
I'm referring of course to those who just saw the most notorius characters and never felt the game's athmosphere... seeing some fanarts alone makes YN look like the tale of a girl and her bizarre friends...

>> No.1379   [Delete]   [Edit]

>>1378
Holy jesuszilla Surge, I MUST agree with you here, because the first time I saw Yume Nikki(with a bunch of fanarts on DA) I thought that it was just a "desukawaii game dess".

4chan was never good, and all the good stuff spread until it no longer was unique. Actually, it's now the discarded remains of a once thriving shithole. I am not male.

Fuck off, it's the only place with an active /tg/.

/tg/ is the only reason? I can somehow agree. Sage because this comment is not worth bumping.

>> No.1483   [Delete]   [Edit]

Yeah, back on topic everyone. :3

>> No.1486   [Delete]   [Edit]

I'm male. And I had indeed noticed many female posters. Which kind of intimidates me...

Well, I'm a woman and I have a fear of men at times.
But it's stupid, people shouldn't generalize so much ç_ç

Male here, too, though I rarely post.

>> No.3058   [Delete]   [Edit]

srsly? srsly?

why does gender even matter? D:

i mean, you don't even know if anyone is ACTUALLY a female on here just by common stereotypes. i mean, there's drag queens and manly women walking on the earth still. ._.

>> No.3059   [Delete]   [Edit]

I try to leave my gender ambiguous to avoid stereotypes.

Oh hey, this thing is still here.

>>3058
Yeah, no doubt. Heck, even I am pretty girly and I guess that confuses people when they actually see me or expect something else from my epxerience.

And I didn't try to be derogative or nothing, I was just interested because generally, with imageboards, you have more guys than girls.

Also, I heard today that there are plenty females who, despite being shocked (not scared) easily enjoy horror-games and -movies a lot. That surprised me, so I let this sink into this thread as well.

I hope this isn't considered a graveyard-bump...?

>> No.3328   [Delete]   [Edit]

I'm a guy, though I guess I don't post so much as lurk constantly. On online games people often assume I'm a girl because I always have really androgynous names (when I have a name at all), never speak in voicechat, etc.
Well, that's my post for this month. I shall return to the cold embrace of the crypt once more.

>> No.3330   [Delete]   [Edit]

>>3328
Thanks for the honor, haha.
But you should stick with posting. Surely, it would do uboachan good.

>> No.3331   [Delete]   [Edit]

(same guy as 3328)
I have been posting a bit more often than I used to, but I still don't have a name or anything to indicate I'm the same person, beyond my rambling post style. I was just poking fun at the fact I appear to be some kind of cave dwelling monster who emerges periodically to consume human livers and answer questions about how to reach obscure areas in a freeware game which I haven't properly played through in more than a year (and I'm all outta livers!).

>> No.3333   [Delete]   [Edit]

I'm a dood, although for some reason it doesn't surprise me all too much that there's a lot of female fans of this game. I mean, some of the symbolisms could be easier to understand if you were a female.

It actually surprises me some that you're a guy, Writer, typically anyone who'd volunteer to write ongoing YN fanfiction is not.

Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Not that I'm stereotyping.

Guys...?

>> No.3351   [Delete]   [Edit]

>>3350

Bwaha.

Also, congratulations on 3333 GET, Writer!

>> No.3358   [Delete]   [Edit]

I've just got an open mind, I think. I've written first person stories from the perspective of a female; I try and view everything from all angles. As best I can, at least.

And woo! I didn't even realize I 3333 get'd.

>> No.3376   [Delete]   [Edit]

I'm a guy if that makes you more comfortable. The girls won't bite you know. They're just like us, except they giggle and talk about shoes a lot.
