I don't think so. I was only able to stab her twice before getting teleported.

I'm curious about this too.

Dear /yn/,
I think I had the best dream in my life. I dreamt there was a 3D Yume Nikki for the Wii and PC. I can't remember very many of the details; there was just a bonus scare in the Uboa sequence. The cover art/title screen was sweet, too.

>> No.321   [Delete]   [Edit]

I'd be happy with just a DS version..
so imagine if it is for wii
XD

>> No.326   [Delete]   [Edit]

I've always imagined a 3D Yume Nikki title. Maybe someone could mod a game to simulate it... Like in the source engine or something...

>> No.335   [Delete]   [Edit]

I can see Yume Nikki as a NDS game, but for the Wii? Not really; I don't think YN would work as a 3D game; to me, it's simple and pixel-y exterior is what makes this game special.

I downloaded RPGMaker2003 solely so that I could see all the rare events (like the white thing in the monochrome world), but I'm confused on how to even open up Yume Nikki in RPGMaker2003...
Any help? A walkthrough on how to mess around with the random events?

<< Also, one day I was bored and screencapped all the Aztec Rave Monkey's different versions.

>> No.319   [Delete]   [Edit]

Well, for opening Yume Nikki in RPGMaker 2003, just copy your Yume Nikki folder to the rpg2003 folder.

Then start up RPGMaker 2003, click 'open an existing project', and then Yume Nikki should be in the list of available projects.

But that's as far as I can help you, though - I still haven't yet figured out exactly how to use RPGMaker 2003 either...

>> No.320   [Delete]   [Edit]

>>319
Thanks. I'll try to figure my way from there.

Has anybody seen this object? The only time I've seen it is in the files of the game in RPG MAKER, but I never found it in the actual game. I'm looking for it like crazy now; running all across the maze, but I can't find it! All I've found are similar landmarks, but no object. Halp?

>> No.298   [Delete]   [Edit]

There's a map here:

http://www.gamefaqs.com/computer/doswin/file/580358/54948

It seems that thing (which doesn't appear in the map, but you can make out where it is by the shape of the maze) is in the upper left-hand corner. There's an entrance in the upper left-hand corner that leads to it.

>> No.299   [Delete]   [Edit]

>>298
I found an easy way of getting there. All you need is to take the red maze route from the eyes and hands world, and go straight up the path..the thing is; I think this is a random event too. D: It's not appearing in my game.

IIRC it gave you the "fat" effect but it was taken out in one of the later versions of the game and replaced by the red eating creature in the swamps.

Well, I got to the ending for everyone, and I tried to get 25 heart points to maybe get a different ending. Turns out it didn't work. Good-night, sweet Madotsuki.

Is there any strict offical information about Yume Nikki other than the game itself?

P.S. Sorry if you don't do Zalgo here...

heh...

No, there isn't really anything official. Speculation abound, however, is present at the YN TV Tropes page, the old /onoff/ board at Mikuchan, Starmen.net Earthbound forum, that one English fansite, various game message boards, etc etc.

How do I find these guys?
http://f.hatena.ne.jp/syam_i/20080226000223
I haven't seen them before, apparently they're in the numbers world.

>> No.238   [Delete]   [Edit]

Go to the 'river', and use the cat effect for a while until you see them. It's going to take awhile, around 2-3 min, depending on your meow speed.

>> No.244   [Delete]   [Edit]

Thank you! Will do.

Nobody's reupped to youtube yet.
This is by far my favorite Yume Nikki OP, though. I think this is awesome.

Pic is a capture from the video.

>> No.199   [Delete]   [Edit]

Mad random. I liked the semi-3d recreations of some of the environments, but it's just a few minutes of flashing images w/ a song, nothing special.

>> No.204   [Delete]   [Edit]

Um, there are 3d recreations of areas in there, the entire thing was made in blender 3d.
