Hay guise,

I just realized that this game Psychonauts (2003, Double Fine Studios) is sort of like Yume Nikki? Well, vaguely I guess; because the levels in the game are adventures through different character's minds. I haven't actually played Psychonauts, but as a kid I did play a game called Full Throttle which was made by the same guy (Tim Schafer). So like, is Psychonauts a little bit like Yume Nikki (in a more comical and lighthearted way) or am I completely off? Either way, I think I'll just buy it and give it a play through.

I have played, almost. I am on the last level. It is awesome, and I am addicted to this game, but the ONLY thing in common with YN is the whole "in your mind" thing.

I wouldn't consider YN's fanbase huge. Cave Story imo has bigger, despite being inferior to YN.

This is very true, you'd be surprised how many CS fanboys will argue this fact even though it's true. Most of them say CS is superior because they tried YN for like five minutes and got bored, not playing to appreciate the inner game.

But the fanbase is probabily bigger because of all the platforms CS has been released on

I've been trying to sort out, name, extend all the music in the game but have hit a problem with certain tracks which play at a different speed in the music folder then in the game.

For example BGM_009 is hell but a non-slowed down verson, I can slow it down in audacity but I'd need to know exactly the amount it's being slowed down by, it seems to be around -40%

Likewise BGM_005 is Onsen-san's house, but also a non-slowed down version of the Face Carpet Plaza in Forest world.

If anyone knows exactly the speeds these and probably other songs are being played at I'd like to know. I'd imagine it'd say somewhere in RPGmaker, but I don't really feel like it'd be worth downloading and figuring out where it says that in RPGmaker.

Songs are either at their normal speed, either slowed down at -50%.

This goes for the scream that plays when you stab something too.

...Just to be technical, there's a couple BGM that are slowed down to -30%.
For instance, the top of the mall/subway/department store is -30%, and so is the Face Carpet Plaza.
The others that are 30% are the snow world and the Nasu game, and I think the sewers were -40% (I got pissed after finding that out, don't ask why)

Sorry if I seem annoying. Just want to straighten things out a bit.

Yeah upon slowing some of them down, I figured they weren't all -50%, thanks for some of the specifics.
