>> No.4473   [Delete]   [Edit]

Its a remix of one of the songs from Evangelion 2.22.

>> No.4481   [Delete]   [Edit]

There was an adorable YN animation to this song on YouTube, reuploaded from NicoNicoDouga; I'll see if I can find it again

>> No.4482   [Delete]   [Edit]

Damn, I think it's been taken down ;3;

if anyone can find it I'd love to watch it again

i know this question has been asked a thousand times, but im not willing to search through the whole site for this:
where can i download yume nikki for a mac?
+the emulator if i need any.
im really inexperienced with this.
the only other games i've played on my comp were mother2, mother3, and sum klonoa game

>> No.4366   [Delete]   [Edit]

third result.

>> No.4412   [Delete]   [Edit]

I'm sure you could get it to work in Wine or Darwine; I'm not experienced with them though...

If you have an Intel Mac it's for sure an option to virtualize Windows with Virtualbox or something. You'd have to have a Windows install disc for that but you wouldn't have to reboot to play or anything

>> No.4414   [Delete]   [Edit]

I don't know about mac, but I've played Yume Nikki using wine in linux and it ran perfectly.

>> No.4471   [Delete]   [Edit]

I'm running Parallels 5 for emulating Yume Nikki.

Does Yume Nikki have a lot of replay value to you?

As for me, I collected everything and saw just about everywhere in about two days, and that was enough for me.

So howsabout you?

>Does Yume Nikki have a lot of replay value to you?

Oh yes, definitely! - I found this game back in early 2008 (or maybe even 2007, not sure), and I still occasionally play it. Usually to enjoy the music and/or the general atmosphere of certain areas, and occasionally to dredge up some old memories.

Back when I found this game, it was still really obsecure - most of its Western fanbase was hanging out at Mikuchan's /onoff/ (which was down all the time anyway), and even the English walkthroughs didn't contain much more than how to find all effects + Uboa.

I managed to find about half of the game's secrets and weird events on my own, usually when fooling around with various effects or spending hours and hours wandering in places I thought I already knew.

Sentimental as it may be, I actually do have good memories about the days that I could play this game for hours, knowing that there were still secrets out there that I hadn't found yet.

>> No.4426   [Delete]   [Edit]

this game has tons of replay value to me. mainly because i have a HORRIBLE memory and can only remember where the bike effect is. really the only areas i can get to without getting lost or getting some help is the bike, mars, the train, and the slums since their my favourite areas in the whole game.

other than that i'm pretty much lost the whole time.

>> No.4431   [Delete]   [Edit]

Absolutely! It never seems to get old, sometimes I'll go back to certain places just to enjoy the sounds or atmosphere, or to get inspired to work on a collaborative Yume Nikki fanfic I'm working on, or just to putz around and kill time.

>> No.4469   [Delete]   [Edit]

I love this game. I mean, I'm playing it weekly non-stop for over a year.
Most of the time just because its atmosphere, but sometimes I really try to find new things.

What do you think?

>> No.4448   [Delete]   [Edit]

Definitely digging the tune. I liked how it was very slow and then BOOM, exploded into the breakcore aspect. Can't give much feedback outside of compliments seeing as I don't know much about music or making it, though.

Good job.

>> No.4449   [Delete]   [Edit]

I felt like it needed more variation, and that the variation that did exist came later than it should have. I also think that you maybe could have expanded on the melody a little to add flavour. The percussion however was spot on, but the underlying melody could have been more absorbing with more tonal or melodic variations, possibly other synth like rave leads or other techno-related synth instrumentation. If I was bigger into techno I could likely tell you more.

>> No.4450   [Delete]   [Edit]

Thanks for the involvement and the advices, it's probably not the final version so I can fix it :)

>> No.4452   [Delete]   [Edit]

Mix and change the melody/tune more, introduce the drumloops earlier. It doesn't matter if the song is short, breakcore doesn't normally last more than 2 minutes and stay good anyway.

I was dissapointed in hearing the underground FC world. I was hoping to hear the happier song of the area you posted in the picture. I came expecting that but still, good job on what you've made.

I found a glitch.
Sit in the chair, and if you put on cat effect, then put on bike effect, you go a slight faster.

of Yume Nikki, of course.
What songs remind you of it?

I think this song does: Never Stops by Deerhunter

Yyyesss! TBM is the perfect fit to the topic of this tread.

Strangely, something in the Eluvium's Copia is steadily reminds me of Yume Nikki every time I hear it. "Strangely" because no other his album affects me in such way.
