It's slowly dancing this way!

Gyo and Uzumaki are creepier. I think the guy who made those made something else too, buT I haven't looked into it.

Ito's stories always make me laugh for some reason...

>> No.261   [Delete]   [Edit]

I want to know what happens when they emerge from the other side.

Perhaps another Ito manga to read would be Tomie..?

Perhaps I should put it onto my photobucket, since I had to download it to read it.

!!!
Someone on another board posted the page where the protagonist has a dream about sliding into his own hole, and I've been looking for where it came from! I had no idea it was an Ito work!

IMO, that was actually a bit creepier than Uzumaki. I LOVED Uzumaki, but because a huge chunk of the mystery was revealed towards the end, whereas Amigara is mostly unexplaied, it makes it less eerie for some reason.

I'd like to know your thoughts on Gyo, if you don't mind.

>> No.318   [Delete]   [Edit]

What if one of the creatures go back in the hole? Will they become human again?

I dunno, I just wonder what they would do when they come out (among everything else everyone ever thought of). I also wonder what "drr" actually sounds like. On a side note, I could swear once I saw pics of a horror manga that involved a lot of creepy eyes staring at people. Odd that I can't seen to find whatever that was. Maybe it was Fuan no Tane...

I thought Amigara was explained completely. It all made sense for me in the end >>

>> No.464   [Delete]   [Edit]

I once read the last parts of Uzumaki. I didn't know all the chapters were one story, i just thought they were all separate horror stories.

Also, when the people go into the holes in Amigara, am i the only one who thinks of a 'shloop' sound or something similar in their head?

Oddly enough, Amigara only made me laugh.
Tomie freaks me out, though. Same for Uzumaki.
Haven't tried Gyo, and not planning on it.

Why not?
I read it while listening to the soundtrack from 'The Mist'. Kind of went with it.

Because the way he does the art is just...-shiver-
If it was just a novel with no pictures, I could read it.
But the scary part about it is the grotesque art style. I remember after reading most of 'Tomie' (Up to the hospital scene, then the manga site crashed) I was seeing her face behind me in the window, watching me, with this creepy grin on her face.
I've been watching and reading horror for years, but I'm still abnormally jumpy.

I see. Gyo involves a lot of bloating, gas, and rotting.

>> No.781   [Delete]   [Edit]

I knew that much from reading the wiki article on it and it's trope.
(I usually read up about things on tropes before reading/watching/playing them, oddly enough.)

mein gott, i read amigara and uzumaki in a fit of uncharacteristic horror-lovin'. couldn't sleep for days. not planning on reading gyo, since it seems to be less psychological horror and more just gross. i could be wrong, though.

and i guess the whole sharks-kicking-down-doors makes me kind of tempted...

Also, I am seconding the wish to know if Drr-Drr McNoodle could become normal again if he went back in the hole. It would require actually squishing and compressing his stretched-out limbs, which... doesn't sound pleasant.
