I've been lurking around SCP, this wiki about fake paranormal creatures they secure and study (pretending to anyways) and making articles about it. Anyone else lurks?

I am a long time lurker. Some SCP's are cool, others are genuinely scary/creepy.

No, it's incredibly bad. SCP would've made for a much better show.

reminds me of the cadaver that kills you in demonophobia. The one that has the cursed knife in it you use to kill the giant vagina butterfly, where if you turn aroudn after gaining the knife, it pulls a reDead on you and devours(?) you

Because the way he does the art is just...-shiver-
If it was just a novel with no pictures, I could read it.
But the scary part about it is the grotesque art style. I remember after reading most of 'Tomie' (Up to the hospital scene, then the manga site crashed) I was seeing her face behind me in the window, watching me, with this creepy grin on her face.
I've been watching and reading horror for years, but I'm still abnormally jumpy.

>> No.780   [Delete]   [Edit]

I see. Gyo involves a lot of bloating, gas, and rotting.

>> No.781   [Delete]   [Edit]

I knew that much from reading the wiki article on it and it's trope.
(I usually read up about things on tropes before reading/watching/playing them, oddly enough.)

mein gott, i read amigara and uzumaki in a fit of uncharacteristic horror-lovin'. couldn't sleep for days. not planning on reading gyo, since it seems to be less psychological horror and more just gross. i could be wrong, though.

and i guess the whole sharks-kicking-down-doors makes me kind of tempted...

Also, I am seconding the wish to know if Drr-Drr McNoodle could become normal again if he went back in the hole. It would require actually squishing and compressing his stretched-out limbs, which... doesn't sound pleasant.

Has anyone read Tomie by Junji Ito recently?
I just finished it and was wondering what people have to say about it.

It's so good. Definitely one of my favorites. It's a testament to that man's mastery that despite knowing how each story will end you still have to read more. And he really thinks up unique plots for each scenario. The sense of inescapable, impending doom in each is sublime, but I think my favorite was the sake one for the sheer squick factor.

>> No.822   [Delete]   [Edit]

oh my god.

TOMIE TOMIE TOMIE TOMIE

Tomie here, tomie there.

Tomie is a magnet on my fridge, a reflection in the bathtub water, and the show on TV.

God, Tomie is scary.
