Have you noticed that the music is meant to be filtered in the Uboa event? It is pretty obvious when you are able to compare the two instances of the sound. The first is unfiltered, being in the guillotine and toriningen area. The second is.. Uboa, which seems to take out a lot of the screeching.I'm sure that since these both can occur as mentioned on the same setting, the lack of filtering tools can make it sound the same in both places as a mistake.

Right, it seems to settle from the screeching at his sudden appearance to a calmer, but still threatening, atmosphere. Kind of like the player's usual reaction.I think the guillotine room is unfiltered at least in part because you aren't going to be spending a lot of time in there. It's a very small area, and there are a couple of toriningen berserking all over the place. I think it's a fitting enough sound for running away from them, desperately trying to find the right cabinet to escape... at least, until you get the Stoplight or Triangle Kerchief.

The sound is threatening enough for an unsuspecting victim. It's enough to make your heart throb and increase the tension. The object is to get curious enough to touch Uboa. The tone isn't meant to be run for your life.
