Hi there /uboa/. It took me 90 tries to find Uboa today.I estimated that I went into the house, turned off the lights, and exited about 10 times per minute for 9 minutes. I started at 6:09 PM and Uboa finally appeared at 6:18 PM. For the last 5 tries, I went into the house, turned off the lights, and stabbed Poniko when she did not change. I don't know if that's much of a factor in my finding him, but it could have been what helped find him. Last edited 10/11/24(Wed)15:36.

Stabbing Poniko has nothing to do with it. Remember: UBOA's appearance isn't random chance. There is never a chance that UBOA won't appear at some point, there is only the chance that UBOA won't appear until after a set number of tries, THAT is the part that is random, it could be 2, it could be 200, but UBOA will appear. Every time Madotsuki falls asleep, the amount of times it will take to see UBOA is reset to a different randomly selected number. The first number to appear in the event is 64, which is why everyone always seems to be under the false impression that you have a "1 in 64 chance" of seeing UBOA. The same goes for the octopus balloon, you don't have a "1 in 1200 chance of seeing him", you have a randomly determined amount of steps you have to take in the white dessert for him to appear. >>2979I'll repeat, Takofuusen has nothing to do with steps. You can stay completely idle for hours and he still appears. It's a constant chance running in the background.
>>29831/3600, reset every 0.5 seconds. Also, as an additional note, the timer freezes if the YN window is not in focus (you can also notice that the bell sound also stops, since it's based on a timer too)
>>2979 shaddup
>>2984Yeah, RPG Maker stops checking the events if the window is unfocused, so everything stops, even background events. The only thing that keeps running is BGM.
