I pronounce it

uuu - buuu(almost like saying bow)- A

>> No.1564   [Delete]   [Edit]

oo-bow-uh

>> No.1565   [Delete]   [Edit]

I always pronounced it uw-bow-a until some weeaboo japafag said it was "u-hwah"

I kinda say both

>> No.1566   [Delete]   [Edit]

oo (ie Deedee "oo what does this button do?)
bow (ie bow & arrows)
uh (ie "Uh...")

>> No.1567   [Delete]   [Edit]

Sadly, yew-bow-ah

>> No.1568   [Delete]   [Edit]
>I always pronounced it uw-bow-a until some weeaboo japafag said it was "u-hwah"

It's based off that onomatopoeia but said weeaboo japfag is wrong. Ooh-bow-ah.

>> No.1573   [Delete]   [Edit]

>>1568

lol.language fail.
ho<bo
i can see why there would be a mix up, but yeah, it's OO-BOW-AaaaAAAAAAAあああああ

>> No.1575   [Delete]   [Edit]

U (as in french U. without the "you" sound.)
bo (bo)
A (french a)

>> No.1580   [Delete]   [Edit]

>>1567

yoo - BOW - ah.

>> No.1584   [Delete]   [Edit]

so, i say Uboa... ._. ... well, i cannot use here the phonems, but i hope you understand.

U - "oo" like in "moo"
bo - like "oh"

I dunno about anyone else who pronounces it like this, but... "Yoo-boa" is just tons easier to say, for me.
I know how it's supposed to be pronounced, but I have trouble with "Oo-boa." D:

>> No.1592   [Delete]   [Edit]

I pronounce it oo-bwah, after hearing LoudMan pronounce it that way in his LP. I thought that was the common way, but apparently not.

>> No.1594   [Delete]   [Edit]

I don't think that it's something like "you-bow-ah".
Well, I'm not american, my pronounce is different, something like oo-boh-ah.
I'm brazilian, so I say something like that. D:

Aqui a pronúncia é como nós escrevemos, então se eu escrevo "uboa", eu falo "u-bo-a". :3

>> No.1595   [Delete]   [Edit]

yeah i used to think it was "you" "bow" "eh"

>> No.1598   [Delete]   [Edit]

i pronounce it as ooh-boh-aahhhhh~

ehhh even though its the same thing as oobowuh i feel awkward reading it like that.

>> No.1755   [Delete]   [Edit]

Oooooooooo
Boh
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!

>> No.1756   [Delete]   [Edit]

Oooo (as in soup)
Bohh (as in a bow for one's hair)
And the long 'A' sound, (as in the sound that haunts so many nightmares [not to mention the noise that many people make upon finding him for the first time]: aaaaaaaAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA~)

>> No.1795   [Delete]   [Edit]

U"ooo" sound like saying like in "you") boa(like boa constrictor snake)

But sometimes...I add a letter in my brain for some reason! I kept calling him "Udoba"
(U-doh-ba) like that...for some reason that "d" wants to fit in my mind! haha)

>> No.1853   [Delete]   [Edit]

U - as in über
bo - as in bond (I guess)
a - as in AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

>> No.1854   [Delete]   [Edit]

If I had money I'd hire a choir to sing Uboa's name, with the "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA" being a differnet note for each person singing.

>> No.1863   [Delete]   [Edit]

I go by Japanese pronunciation because of the creator's nationality. Ooh-hard bo-ah. "Yoo" would butcher the word, from a moonspeak standpoint.

ooh-bo(like bow, without the w) ah.
That just makes sense in Hebrew punctioning. (I used to get english words wrong a lot for obvious reasons, but not japanese stuff)

>> No.2005   [Delete]   [Edit]

If there's anyone here that speaks portuguese...
I pronounce it like "boa" (as in "boa noite" or something) with a normal 'u'. It kinda sounds like "úbôa"

>> No.2026   [Delete]   [Edit]

>>2005
Oi, olha eu aqui. -q
It's hard to explain the pronounce... I'll try to record me saying "Uboa" on a video (I can't record only the sound, I'm poor okay...)

"oo" (like in "zoo") "bo" (like in "oboe") "uh" (like in "duh")

Just pronounce it like it sounds.

>> No.3262   [Delete]   [Edit]

U-bo-ah

>> No.3263   [Delete]   [Edit]

I've only ever heard it pronounced as Ahbwaa by Loudman.

Yume Wiki says it's based off of Uhoa, that japanese karate scream or whatever.

I've always pronounced it Ubuua.

>> No.3266   [Delete]   [Edit]

ubwwwwaaaaaahhh~

>> No.3269   [Delete]   [Edit]

Actually, it's Ubwa. People spell it Uboa because they mistake the ァ at the end for an ア. An easy mistake to make considering that ボ and ァ never go together. But since other o-sounds followed by ァ add a wa sound to the consonant of the o-sound, it should be pronounced "Oo-bwa".

>> No.3275   [Delete]   [Edit]

After that dripping-with-weeaboo UBUUUUUUU! pic, Ubu fits 'im. That, or hurrrrrrr-boa. Can't look at that face without making a sound effect. HURRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

>> No.3310   [Delete]   [Edit]

I used to pronounce it "Ooo-Bow-Ah". You know, like Bow and Arrow type Bow. :I

>> No.3315   [Delete]   [Edit]

U like in ultimate
Bo like in botanical.
A like in after.
So it sounds like U + Boa, like the snake.
A slithly extended O.
