Shameless self advertisement, man.
Clack, clack, clack! Her old, faded red slippers slapped against the floor as if the soles of her shoes had become dog tongues. Her stained fingers slid along the painted white walls gently as she felt along the hallways of the hospital. With each knob she passed Urotsuki gripped, smelled, opened, and closed the entire thing to the point where it was becoming a sort of OCD to check each and every hospital room.
Occasionally, the rooms would be filled with a sensation of a figure, but she dared not to open her eyes until she knew it would be something she could actually have a conversation with. And finally, blindly stumbling into the second to last door in the entire hospital, she felt along the bed, squeezing the sheets of the white bed when a jade green liquid secreted onto the sheets as she slowly backed away.
The room was engulfed in a green wash as she felt along the walls. Her hands came in contact with something cold and hard. Gasping, her eyes shot open as she stared at the metallic pole she had recently gripped before hearing a sudden AHEM! To notify her there was something else in the room with her.
"Well, well, what do we have here?"
His voice was slightly froggy at first, slowly clearing up into a defined, curious, with hint of irritation. She stared at him for a moment, sitting there in his wheelchair, looking the least bit amused by her snooping.
"Urotsuki what are you doing here? You're not a nurse."
".. Who are you?"
"Urotsuki get out, I don't have time to deal with you right now."
"Who are you?" She repeated, a bit louder this time as he paused from his book and looked up at the female, his clear, green eyes locking with hers.
"..Aojiru, we've been friends for two years." He snorted in return as she recoiled and sat down upon his bed.
".. sit down?"
She looked over at him and frowned deeply.
"How the hell do you know my name?"
"Language, but as I said before we've been friends for two years."
"That's fucking weird, I swear to god I've never fucking met you before." She began to mumble to herself in a quite violent manner, gesticulating each curse word to further vex the male whom's privacy she had intruded upon. He seemed to be getting more tense with each colorful word she put into her sentence, finally dropping the book and glaring over at her.
"You either quit the language, Uro, or get out because I have no patience for your manner-less behavior."
And suddenly it hit her, that's who he was!
The flowers made her eyes watery as she laid them down beside his bed, the males head placed gently upon a white pillow as he laid in rest. Eternal rest, she reminded herself. Dropping her silver bracelet in as well, she patted his ghostly pale hand and kissed his forehead, A few stared in disgust as she walked away, wiping her tears.
"Sleep well, Aojiru. You'll need it for where ever you're going.."
"Aojiru!" She stood up abruptly from her perch and stared at the male, who had nearly had a heart attack from her yelp of delight.
"Yes, yes, what?"
"You're Aojiru! Cripple!"
He gave the female a puzzled stare as she began to ramble on about their friendship, his birthdays, all the way to the point where he died during his final, four-week coma. With each right note she struck, the male gave a hesitant nod until she was practically sitting on his lap and sobbing into his bandaged chest, himself nodding like there was no tomorrow. He gave her a quaky, unassured pat upon her shoulder when her head bobbed up, their noses brushing against each others.
"Oh my god, how have you been? Why're you so pale?! What's with the weirdo IV?!" Her questions began to flood his eardrums as a pleased smile rolled across his pale lips, the female straddling him down to his wheelchair as he wrapped his arms around her waist.
And slowly, as her questions dwindled to mumbling, he began reciting answers to complete each of her questions in order. Eventually, he forced the female off and kindly asked her to fetch him his crutches. She did so and he stood, about three to four inches taller than him as she stared up into his green eyes.
"Why did you need them? Going somewhere?" Urotsuki chuckled as he chortled and glanced over at her. "Actually, I'm showing you the way out."
Her heart sank.
"Wh-What?"
"Don't worry, you can come by any time, but the nurses will have my head if they see you in here without a Visitor's Pass."
He walked as she followed, his jerky movements causing her to lose focus once or twice on their way down the stairs.
"Visitor's Pass? Why do I need one of those?"
"Remember, this is a hospital."
Feeling stupid, the female nodded and skipped the remaining steps out the door, blowing him a kiss as it sealed itself once more.
He sighed, shaking his head, "Cripple-tan, what have you gotten yourself into?"
Urotsuki awoke outside, staring out at the rolling hills and clusters of stars below her balcony as she yawned, her eyes drooping slightly. Slowly, they shut as she stumbled back into her room, kicking her slippers out of the way.
She felt along the walls until she managed to force her old, heavy door open into the hub of her mind, feeling along the path for something similar to a graveyard. The scent of the incense allowed her to find her way over quickly as she slipped through the doorway.
Headstones and biting creatures moved about in an orderly manner, but right now the shriveled, old, purple.. things, didn't matter much to her right now. Hopping up onto her "conjured" bike, she opened her eyes and looked around for a second to make sure she was in the right area.
The female wandered about aimlessly for a good hour until the horrible, wafting scent of vomit. Her stomach churned as she turned and began to follow the scent that could only be described as the color green.
Slipping through the opening, a bit of the foul-smelling liquid dripping through her mass, yet she remained clean. Once she was out, all sounds ceased and she began moving once more. She biked up and was greeted by a large wall.
Urotsuki deserted her bike and began moving along the wall, feeling for anything similar to a door. She grabbed the knob and shoved the door open with her shoulder as she slowly brought back her bike.
Hopping on, she made her way through the halls, her eyes still shut as she paused to feel one of the waiting room chairs. Urotsuki made her way through the halls in a quite nonchalant manner until she slammed into the ending wall, falling off her bike.
The female crawled into her new favourite room as she peered over the sheets, opening an eye and poking at the green liquid.
She blacked out and slipped in.
