I am in despair.

Although I have already obtained the Child effect, I wanted to go back to that area again while recording myself to show others how to get there (since a lot of people seem to ask about it.) However, when I follow the instructions here: http://yume2kki.wikia.com/wiki/Effects
it just doesn't seem to work.

I have tried it with and without the submarine being invisible, I have tried hitting the button inside the sub once, twice, three times, and even spammed it for 6 minutes straight. Between each time I hit the button I waited at least 7 minutes - one time I even waited 30 minutes but the sounds nor background never changed. I watched the game the whole time and nothing changed.
(yes I have absolutely no life)

I doubt that you can only go there once. It can't be my save file (which admittedly has been transferred over from older versions). I started a new file in order to see if I could obtain Child effect again that way. I repeated all the steps according to the wiki again along with some experimentation, and the submarine STILL didn't go anywhere.

I can't even remember how I first did it. I believe I hit the button 2 or 3 times, making sure it clicked only once. I noticed that each time you hit the button it makes 3 clicks, 2 clicks, or 1 click. I have tried for all the clicks and still nothing worked. Hell, I don't even know if the number of clicks even makes a difference. It was so simple and fast the first time I did it. I don't know why it's different now.

Is the arrival at that underwater map that leads to Child only obtainable by chance? Like Uboa?

I am using the latest version, btw - 0.093e.

What am I doing wrong? All help is appreciated.

I haven't tried going there again myself (god, just the thought of getting to those 2 and seeing it closed yet agan makes me frustrated) but it's probably not that.. When I got it I just interacted with the girl first an then sat and clicked the buttons a bit out of boredom. It just worked I guess o.o

I got in the sub, played with the buttons for a while, then left to get something to eat. Came back and the submarine was already slowed down. Thus, it's just a matter of waiting. Like fishing. unless they changed it on us...

Because I waited for 30 minutes once and nothing happened @_@ I guess I'll keep experimenting. It's true that they might have changed it... I suppose I would need the get the opinions of those who tried the event with the newest game update. I was having trouble with it since...0.093c? Maybe? It was definitely a 93 lol. But the first time I got the Child effect was from an older version......gah I can't remember.
