Well for starters they're two different games.

Also, I always pronounce 2kki two-kki, instead of Nikki as everyone always tells me.

I know, I know, Ni is 2. But isn't the whole point of 2kki the fact that its supposed to be a sequel, like part 2? Or am I just crazy?

Nikki is a game that tries to set an atmosphere in a dream world.
2kki is just a collection of pretty much everything that would seem cool to have in a dream world. They use the pretense that dreams dont make sense to throw everything they can in the game.

I always thought he was quite strange. He doesn't fit the art style of anything else in the game.

He's really only in the game as a spook. You open up his book and you're instantly greeted with him sitting there; Staring; Tilting his head from side to side.

"Waku Waku san" comes from the sound that plays when you see him. If I remember correctly, it sounds something like a clock.

I JUST FIGURED OUT UBOA'S ORIGIN STORY

The laughing person was laughing so hard, that her head fell off. And the head fell all the way into Madotsuki's dream. Things are all weird when Uboa shows up because he's in the wrong dream!

No, I thought most of those were just, as the filename implies, wips. Ideas basically, since Yume Nikki has removed effects as well. They won't be implimented.

I'd be inclined to say the effects with ド were cancelled and the ones with the other kanji are the ones that were done in the time the image was created
