You wait for the next update. And explore moar for epic, non-effect stuff. And play some other fangames while you're at it.
I just beat Yume Nikki today, and I downloaded 2kki a bit ago. What is your guy's favorite part of the game?(Picture unrelated)
>>860Wait that place is a maze? I thought it was just a straightforward deal only with a face that gets progressively creepier as you wander around.
>>861That's what I thought at first. But if you keep walking around, you'll notice paths of blood on the ground. If you go sorta...southwestish? there will be a place that leads to another map.
These two. In the depths of the obligatory eye world there's what I can only assume is some kind of optometrist's office with tanks of what context tells me are either eyedrops or tears. I saw this eye-covered man in the front room and didn't think too much of him, then saw the box in back covered with some kind of weird growth. I checked it and realized it wasn't a growth, it was an adorable little girl's hair spilling out.Later I decided to go back and visit them, but on the way I saw the eye-man walking around a few maps earlier, in the area with all the giant eyes. My first thought was "oh wow, he's caring for the eyes here." Every other character I've seen so far just kind of exists in its own world; this guy actually performs maintenance on his. Also, >>694 FFFFFFFFFF I got that the first time I went into not!Urotsuki's room. The TV turned on and there was nothing different; just Uro staring at the screen. I turned it off and decided to try again, thinking I missed some small change somewhere in the room for a clue, or maybe kalimba drums and dancing. In retrospect it's obvious: in a horror environment, if at first nothing's there don't look again.

I think mine is the amusement park
SO I've done everything everyones told me to, and I still get this screen, any help?
You know, there IS a help thread at the top.Anyways, it appears you my be missing a few files. Are you sure you extracted the files in the .rar's to the folder? I've had that problem before and I'm pretty sure this is how I fixed it.

>>1799It's a glitch I believe. Going right causes it to happen, irregardless of whether you kill the black man or not.I think I've found another glitch: there is a 3D dungeon crawling area with a green question mark on the floor that displays some text when you walk on it (I think it kind of says, what the map says and what you see aren't the same, (to get there go to the Urotsuki's apartment world and go to the black and white room in the basement and equip the glasses, one of the lower entrances will have an arrow), and when you get to the end, you end up in a pitch black 3d maze that you can only navigate by sound, that leads you back to the 3D dungeon crawling area of the block world. But I think it kind of glitches (depending on how you exit, when I got out one time I was simply in the block world with no glitches) in that your movements are reversed, and the gray blocks reappear (you can make them all vanish by going through the all-gray portion of the maze).>>1800Cool thanks! I had trouble recognizing what that world was.

>>1802Maybe a glitch, walking around like this is pretty debilitating actually, and z turns Urotsuki into the little graphic that is displayed on the map..... But I don't think that the ghost-urochan transporting you to a closed area if you go right is a glitch.
WHAT DOES THIS MEEEEAN!?

It's rather simple, although it requires some work, if I'm not mistaken.Find your way to the sign world, it's been so long since I last played that I forgot how to get there exactly.Wander around until you find a pyramid. Step on its peak, and the monster doing something near it will disappear.Balls! Touch a ball and pres Z to... make it spin faster? I don't know. Do that to all balls, and eventually a ball moving in an erratic pattern will appear. Touch it.You are now at the entrance of that area! Just move right, if the gate's open. I don't know what sets the flag that makes it open or close, though.(by the way, finding the stone formation after stepping on that cell on the pyramid to change the map leads to the Gyroid effect)

Forgive me if it's been said somewhere already, but how do you get into that area? o.o I've never seen it before.
>>1796You mean the sign world?1)Marijuana Goddess world2)Go straight down until the blue hand and interact with it.3)When in the 'hand-hub' go to the leftmost hand to get to the bug-maze.4) In the bug maze, go right until you see the yellow arrow.5) Follow the arrow and go along the invisible path until you find the gray sign. Interact with it and you're in the sign world. It's all >>1783 from there. That place was pretty neat, especially the circle part. You can get 2 wallpapers from here.

I am in despair.Although I have already obtained the Child effect, I wanted to go back to that area again while recording myself to show others how to get there (since a lot of people seem to ask about it.) However, when I follow the instructions here: http://yume2kki.wikia.com/wiki/Effectsit just doesn't seem to work.I have tried it with and without the submarine being invisible, I have tried hitting the button inside the sub once, twice, three times, and even spammed it for 6 minutes straight. Between each time I hit the button I waited at least 7 minutes - one time I even waited 30 minutes but the sounds nor background never changed. I watched the game the whole time and nothing changed.(yes I have absolutely no life)I doubt that you can only go there once. It can't be my save file (which admittedly has been transferred over from older versions). I started a new file in order to see if I could obtain Child effect again that way. I repeated all the steps according to the wiki again along with some experimentation, and the submarine STILL didn't go anywhere. Comment too long. Click here to view the full text. I think I spammed the button nonstop for five minutes or so, the first time I went there (after trying to understand the coding of that area).I'm still not sure of what, exactly, activates that event.
I got frustrated with spamming it so I just used rpgmaker to make it more likely,.
The button has nothing to do with it as far as I'm concerned. I got in the sub, played with the buttons for a while, then left to get something to eat. Came back and the submarine was already slowed down. Thus, it's just a matter of waiting. Like fishing.unless they changed it on us...

>>1791Hm. Maybe the time allotted for the sub to slow down is random? Because I waited for 30 minutes once and nothing happened @_@ I guess I'll keep experimenting. It's true that they might have changed it...I suppose I would need the get the opinions of those who tried the event with the newest game update. I was having trouble with it since...0.093c? Maybe? It was definitely a 93 lol. But the first time I got the Child effect was from an older version......gah I can't remember.

Ok so I went to the black and white hallway that teleports you and entered the nearest door I could find. (then again went to the nearest door around)HOW THE FUCK DID I END UP IN HERE?!?!(and how do I get here normally)
Camtasia is a fairly good program, though as for uploading to youtube, I haven't a clue.If you have a godly upload speed then go with max settings etc, but just experiment with private videos, I guess. Also, LPing is about chronology, and it's pretty fun to see how a person gathers the effect little by little.
>>1752Alright. I'll try that, thanks. Btw is Camtasia free or must I obtain it using a different method...?
>>1754 Unfortunately it's not free, as it is a proffesional editing tool with basically everything an editor could need.So yeah, find Camtasia Studio somewhere..(btw, I must give WispyWoodsMan on youtube credit for telling me about it. He made some videos of some fangames)
>>1761Ah I see. I gotcha.I think I've seen some of WispyWoodsMan's videos. fdjkkdjf also has some 2kki videos (that's his actual YouTube name btw).

>>1747Chill dude, I think he means that the game isn't set up like Yume Nikki.
>>1751Lol I know. I just don't like the idea that another game goes and takes someone else's main character like that. Seems kinda unoriginal. But who knows? Maybe it'll be awesome?

I completed this game. From what it reads I can say it is a completely unrelated horror game with YN sprites instead of original ones. Shit man, this isn't awesome at all, aside from bosses art maybe. How disappointing.

Who else used a desktop bg that's custom and not one of the defaults or the unlockables?

This room...My god, this room.Especially the wallpaper that accompanies it, and the fact that you find it in the dream world version of Urotsuki's 'house'Terribly disturbing.

THEORY TIME BITCHESThe woman is her mother that had a stillborn some time ago. After the baby's death she fell into a depression and ignored urotsuki entirely. Thats why she views the baby as a monster/parasite.
Sometimes I wonder if they throw in things like this just so that people will make up a million theories, when the actual reason for it existing is 'because it seems creepy'
>>1648That's what everyone wonders about anything Yume Nikki related, really.
>>1648I think that about a lot of things in YN, but for once I actually think this event/room has some type of symbolism. I'm not gonna go all /t/ on everyone in this thread, but I still have a few thoughts. Who knows, though, I could be completely wrong.
