Before Madotsuki's TV stopped working, she saw all these movies.

Well that just cuts down half the theories out there.
It's entirely possible that she watched too much TV. It's even reinforced by the fact that video games influenced her dreams enough to get a couple areas of their own. But that's not fun to speculate about so I'm going to ignore the idea.
I actually consider this one of the best theories I've read instead of "rape rape car crash pregnancy penis penis penis semen abuse lesbian transgender!"
>>1364Yes, it is definitely better than the usual theories. ...thinking back to the constant evidence of rape, let's go with this. O_o Even if it is a tad anticlimactic. So, does anyone think that there's any direct inspiration from actual movies? Is Neon World a TRON homage? Anyone?
Maybe she's doing the same dream again and again because her TV stopped working.
She must have been into some surreal shit. Of course we've all had surreal dreams before, so eh.
>>1366There's no constant evidence of rape, I think that it's all imagined.
>>1370I guess I worded that wrong. I meant to say how it seems that everyone seems to be obsessed with interpreting everything as rape. You'd have to have a pretty messed up mind to see most of it.
Madotsuki was a huge fan of Earthbound, hence areas in her dreams based on Earthbound. She read about the game, and the story of the black and whit emovie that inspired Giygas and became obsessed with black and white movies, trippy videogames, and crazy theories. Then she dreamnt about it.
>>1347 Thank you. You do not need trauma to have screwy dreams.
