You can download the latest version of the game using the Uboachan patcher (download link below). This is a simple little program that'll update your game whenever a new patch is released. It'll also update itself if there is a new patcher available. Please post any new patches here instead of /media/. Old issues with the patch maker should be completely resolved now.I also encourage anyone to work on the game, no matter how small of a change. Just upload a patch made with the patch maker when you're done and version it correctly.See the readme for more details and instructions.Uboachan Suite 0.4.0 (Includes patcher and patch maker)http://www.anokorok.com/UboachanSuite-0.4.0.zipSource Codehttp://www.anokorok.com/UboachanSuite-0.4.0-src.zip

an error popped up when i clicked "play." i have the latest version of the patcher and game D;

I have no error checking on the play button, so the only error I know the patcher can give is "failed attempt to launch program or document."
Hmm, I also made the assumption everyone has the RPG Maker 2003 RTP. If you don't have it, you'll get an error. I'll add something that will check for this and find a mirror to download it.
it said"Error: Failed attempt to launch program or document:Action: <uboachan/RPG_RT>Paragrams: <>The current thread will exit.Specifically: The system cannot find the file specified.Line#470: Run,%GameFolder%\RPG_RT"

Could you do me a favour? Put this report program in the same folder with the patcher and run it, and then attach report.txt to your post. It'll give me some ideas on how to reproduce the problem.
it wont let me post the file
Put it in a ZIP. The board will let you upload ZIPs.
ok here it is
It appears only the 0.0.8 patch installed and not any of the other patches.Go into the data folder and open config.ini in notepad.Under the [Game] section change Build to 0 and save it.Delete YNS_0-021.zip, uboachan-0.0.4.zip, uboachan-0.0.5.zip, uboachan-0.0.7.zip, uboachan-0.0.8.zip.Run the patcher and the patch button should say install. Install and let me know if the same thing happens (upload another report with it if it does).

the error came up again and the report is the same
Hurr. The patcher doesn't have enough error reporting to let me diagnose what is wrong at the moment. I'll update the patcher today to do more rigorous error checking so that we can figure it out.
ok, thanks for the help!
Mine did the exact same error, but I just had to delete the .zip archives to make it work. I mean, after extracting everything. If it helps, my game folder is inside the patcher folder.
I'm quite puzzled by this because I can't reproduce it on a clean install of XP Home or 2000.
if this helps, after i installed each patch an error came up saying "fatal error" Last edited 09/08/04(Tue)07:48.

>>56Phew, that narrows down the problem a lot. Fatal error is an ambiguous error in the archive extractor (7z). 0.4.1 has detailed logging for 7z so it'll uncover the problem once I release it (sorry for the wait on it by the way).
no problem, the games not even done yet, so i should consider myself lucky to be able to play it now!
Okay, I finally reproduced the error. Apparently the console version I was using wasn't the standalone version. If you don't have 7-zip installed the patcher fails.0.4.1 will use the standalone console version (that doesn't require 7-zip to be installed) and this error should disappear.

That's great, awesome Touhou placeholders are awesome. Could it be made so that the markings don't disappear when you use another effect, though?
My error is that it cannot run system2c. After I installed the RPG_RTP, it said "Unable to run runtime package. Either it is not installed or you are using an unregistered version" or maybe that was an uninstall. Either way, I can't do shit.
>>78Sounds like you installed the wrong RTP because this happened to me once. I've added a button in the next patcher that downloads the proper RTP files and fixes the registry so that the game doesn't error out like that.

So I am a major retard and don't understand how to patch the game. Do you go to "Open Project" in RPG Maker and upload it? If so, is it the entire Uboachan folder or a single file?
>>725the patcher is a separate program. use the links in op's post. there's a readme with instructions included with the patcher.
>>726'4. Run "Patch Maker.exe" and click "Create Patch".6. You will be prompted for the folder that contains your new copy of the game.'How to make that new copy of the game is the question.

How to make that new copy of the game is the question.
>>727i'm not EXACTLY sure, having never made a new patch with anok's program, so i'm just making an educated guess...but every rpg maker 2003 game is contained in a single folder. all of the game's files and coding etc are included in that folder. the folder containing the files is essentially the game itself, and solitude is no exception. thus, when you make a change to the game in rpgm2k3 and save it, the folder's files are automatically updated, and that is the "new copy" of the game that you have to select in the patching program.sorry for the long winded explanation :I
Um. This is really very basic. On "Open existing game", do you just select the "uboachan" folder? Cause that doesn't really get me anywhere.
>>737Actually, you have to select the folder that "uboachan" is inside. For example, if the uboachan folder is inside your Yume Nikki folder, you have to select the Yume Nikki folder.
Can anyone post the patcher zip file here? Thelink seems to be broken.
Wait you lot actually made a game? Or is this a sort of cloud that holds contributions? Last edited 11/03/08(Tue)06:40.

Nope, this was for back when progress was actually being made, but it died out fast when people started disappearing and interest started disappearing faster. Don't bother getting a link, the program won't serve it's purpose anymore anyways.Locked.
