Someone wants to work on the Yume 2kki project. How would this person join the team?

Here are some artwork from this person.

Work done by PadLox.

>> No.1100   [Delete]   [Edit]

If he wants to join, tell him to post here.
It's a community project, so really anyone who browses is allowed to input their thoughts/ideas.

also, ANY of these would make A+ backgrounds for the game.

>> No.1102   [Delete]   [Edit]

Well, as long as he knows that this is Uboachan's own project (not 2kki, which I think is 2chan's?)

But wow, I really like these.

I know the project is dead, but interest in it seems to have picked up slightly...

the idea is, if anyone makes an effect, fixes an error or so on, they post it here so that nobody accidentally replicates what they did.

For example, I made the Hammer effect earlier today.

USELESS DOUBLE POST YAY
Because I implemented the slowdown/collapse effect outside the room in the RL hospital.

I happen to have a collection of "disturbing" drawings, in form of strange-looking faces or people or objects. Whenever i showed them to people, I always got weird reactions, about how sad they were, or better how I looked sad.

Would them be useful to the Project? I lurked a bit and saw that someone is creating some "monster" or something.

Pic related, but most of them are on paper.

>> No.988   [Delete]   [Edit]

sure, that'd be great!
please post them in this thread: http://uboachan.net/p/res/13.xhtml#13
thank you!

Just, uh, sort of scribbled out in Paint. Not finalized. Tileset comes when I get a laptop that works with mice.

Just a thought regarding the NPCs, I'm thinking that the designs should be based off of stuff like the Burgess Shale creatures, real pre-historic stuff that has no surviving evolutionary descendants... Sorta like the stuff in this link here: http://paleobiology.si.edu/burgess/burgessSpecimens.html
and the Tribrachidium: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tribrachidium

There's no reason to even have to think about programming in RPG Maker, and thus no real use for Pokebis since he never actually did anything, because we DON'T HAVE ANYTHING TO PROGRAM YET HURR DURR

We don't have any worlds, any maps, much less tilesets etc., barely anything to start with other than some sprites and a nexus. RPG Maker is really not that extremely complex either, I don't see why people can't build onto it a piece at a time by themselves, other than the fact that no one actually does anything with this project anymore.

Post more and stop bumping this thread; the project is going to continue, there's nothing we have to do to "retalitate" to Pokebis or anything else in light of this, but we can't get anywhere if people don't contribute and comment on things. If nothing else, it's not that hard to quickly give your opinion on something. I know people must have a billion excuses as to why they're "busy," but really, if you have enough time to whine in this thread, you have enough time to actually do something productive.

Actually, Uboachan is slowly dieing itself.

>> No.862   [Delete]   [Edit]

>>861
Considering the age count thread on /ot/, most of the population of Uboachan are students under 20, and are probably busy with school right now.

So of course Uboachan is more "dead" than usual, stop whining and post more.

I know this thread is still on top, but sage because this needs to die already.

>> No.869   [Delete]   [Edit]

I'm pretty sure all the important stuff has been said by now. Thread locked.

Discuss. Perhaps what chances the train would take you somewhere or where it would take you, concept illustrations, a tileset, programming etc

I think it's a great idea and would definitely be scary for the person that doesn't expect it. Maybe make it a more likely to happen but besides that I can't think of anything to change.

So I'm guessing the train can take you to multiple places...? Like the train stops at a forest area, you board again and the second time you exit you're at the junkyard area etc. etc. Maybe there's three or four small locations and the train travels between them in a loop or at random?

Also, what's going to be inside the train? I'm reminded of the train ride that happens in Yume Nikki. I think it would be interesting if something out of place was inside instead of a regular looking subway. I might draw some ideas...
Also, is there going to be a train terminal kind of area?

When they were originally hashing out the ideas they mentioned a train depot. I'm thinking that it's a very big train-station with elevated walkways and the like, sorta set up like the forest tunnel in that you can go on and on and on in one direction, but will go back to the exit very quickly if you turn around. There'd be a whole bunch of absolutely-identical trains, too.

>> No.811   [Delete]   [Edit]

>>804
Why make it more likely to happen? I think it would be better if it's a really small chance that it happens, I mean, it wouldn't be as much fun if it happened so often that people who ride the train to get somewhere end up derailing and thinking "oh no, not again". I'm thinking of it more as kind of a "once in a lifetime" experience.
(Okay, maybe not once in a lifetime, but you get the idea. Like 1/3600 chance or something like that.)

What type themes will be used in the project?

I vote Lovecraftian.

>> No.816   [Delete]   [Edit]

I think we're actually getting to thematic. We need a lot more confusion.

Hey, is the actual game out at the moment? I'm not that excited about it, but I'm mostly likely missing out on an amazing game made by the minds here at our little soon-to-be corrupted chan.

So is it?

>> No.760   [Delete]   [Edit]

There's a pre-alpha version in /media/, but it barely has any content and the actual game is very very far from completion. So basically, no, it's not out yet.
