Language discussion thread.

What languages does Uboachan speak, and which ones do you plan on learning? (I know that there are quite a few of you from non-english speaking countries anyway).

I took Spanish in high school, but I wound up hating it because of dumbed-down curriculum and bad teachers. Now I study Chinese. feels good man

I speak English (obviously) and I'm learning French and Japanese. French is pretty easy, but as for Japanese, my fluency and kanji skills are piss poor. Other than that it's not that bad.

As somebody who came here from Japan, I am not proud to say I speak English and no Japanese whatsoever.

I'm Salvadorian, so I obviously speak Spanish.

I'm learning Russian at the moment, but I am familiar with German.

AND SINCE I'M A WEABOO JAPANESE, TOO. YAY!

Lol. I only know two actually Japanese people. One guy was born in the states but I think his first language was Japanese so he's got a bit of an accent. He hates all Asians though and doesn't speak it in front of anyone.
The other guy is half Japanese and half Brazilian. He speaks Portuguese.

English, learning Spanish, not very seriously studying Japanese, want to learn Chinese, German, and anything else I can. I'm a fag for learning languages.

Learning Chinese isn't too bad. Once you get over the fact that it sounds like nothing you're used to, you should be fine. Pronunciation is weird but not too hard to figure out if you have a good ear. Grammar is piss easy, and reading isn't hard either. Writing is hard and will make you rage sometimes, especially at first.

我觉得你会学习。

I speak Russian and English, and I'm learning Japanese for strictly weeaboo purposes.

Want to learn Chinese or Korean later, just because it'll make me cool.

Why are all you people learning Russian?
I do not comprehend.
And this better not be Hetalia-related.

How's that working for you? I know that Russian grammar takes no prisoners. It's got like what, 12 tenses or something? Good luck with that bro.

I'll be taking French in college <3
