I'm hosting a LAN party on friday and i need some good lan gaemz for around 5 to 10 people with moderate end computers.

>> No.1162   [Delete]   [Edit]

Do you like shooters? The original Serious Sam games are co-op with up to 16 people and they're hella fun with a large group.

>> No.1163   [Delete]   [Edit]

Yeah. thats a pretty good suggestion actually ive played it before with people didnt realize you could have 16 people though 0.o

Terry Cavanagh/Distractionware.

He makes weird and awesome games. His most famous is VVVVVV.

Long Post ahead, so here's the link to his site: http://www.distractionware.com/

VVVVVV is the only game that you have to pay for (15 USD, iirc), being the best one he's made and all.

Red Sky and Radio Silence are disorentation games. Red sky being visual and Radio Silence being audio.

Bridge is an interpretive story "game". Kinda fun to mess with for a bit.

Judith is a game based of off Bluebeard, the french folklore. It's one of his better games.

Don't Look Back, his second most famous game, is my favorite. You literally venture to Hell and back to save someone.

I want to make my TF2 more weeaboo-ish, and Touhou Fortress is kinda.. ugly. I don't know, the models are kinda.. weird. Sometimes the eyes get bugged too, the lighting is kinda off.. I don't know how to explain it.

Anybody know good weeabo mods for TF2?

YN: My friend on Steam said he was making a Yume Nikki character mod with Mado as Spy, Poniko as Sniper, ect., but I don't know when it will be finished or his level of design skill. :/

P.S., How did you get the Uboa Jarate to work?

>> No.1132   [Delete]   [Edit]

>>1119
For some reason UBOA never appears in the jar, but when I get hit by jarate that happens. If you installed everything and it doesn't show up at all, try another server, might be the sv_pure option on..

I really liked Space Funeral! It could've been a bit longer though, I felt like it had so much potential. I personally disliked the ending.

>> No.1116   [Delete]   [Edit]

Usually, for a game like this, a sad ending fits better than a happy one. Still, it is very well written.

To be honest, I've been meaning to play this for some time, but kept putting it off. However, I played it just now and it's nothing what people say it is, in fact I'm going to play it again.
EDIT: and again.

Thought you guys might like this... And if not that, perhaps it will make you fill up with nostalgia.
ANYWAY! THe company that makes a game has done a great number of point-and-click adventures, and this was my favorite when I was little. Basically it's Yume Nikki for 5 year olds. You explore surreal dream worlds and collect items. It's insanely amazing for some reason. It's on the PC and there's one version on the Wii.
Now... discuss?

This thread reminded me of how much I used to love this game, so I ripped the soundtrack for you guys. It's a little staticky, but that's exactly how it is in the game files.

Happy Halloween or something. I'm working on ripping some other Humongous Entertainment soundtracks too, if anyone wants those.

I love you. D8 That soundtrack is fuckin' AMAZING.

And. Yeah. Collecting all socks is actually pretty easy. The hardest thing to remember is to get the sock in your room before you go through your closet door. Nothing special happens at all though.

Glad you like it. I'm surprised by just how much effort HE put into their games' music -- some of the Putt-Putt games had music by George "Fat Man" Sanger, who also scored titles like Wing Commander and Maniac Mansion.

Also, I might as well share the world's only Pajama Sam fanfic, as written by a '90s elementary schooler:

http://www.oocities.com/athens/aegean/2221/mystery/story5.html

It's got all kinds of gems, like

>>The robot opened up his stomach. There was my signature-edition all-metal Pajama Man lunchbox! Emma took it, and we went to continue our search elsewhere. Later…we found an underground fortress. We didn’t go inside, because something covered the top of my view window that said:
>>Warning: Aliens detected 3 meters ahead!

I checked every thread on this board looking for a mother/Earthbound thread and this is the closest I could find. What the hell, /og/? I just finished Mother/Earth Bound/EBZero and it was incredible, lets discuss this shit.

I'm pretty much ready to hop right into Earthbound. I know about that crazy piracy protection that nukes your save file right before the end of the game, modern emulators should be able to work around that though right? Anything else I should know before I dive in and waste another few days?

>> No.1062   [Delete]   [Edit]

>>1061
Don't worry, I've played Earthbound completely 3 times on a snes emulator and it's fine. In fact, you have to purposely enter game genie codes to activate those copy protections.

One code is hilarious and overwhelms the screen with enemies on every turn.

As for the game, god I love it. Awesome battles, awesome music, and awesome humor. My favorite part is Tesse and Moonside.

Proof in the link.

The guy in white? Curtis Blackburn. Kidnaps little girls, rapes them, kills them, stuffs them as a trophy, and sells their organs on the black market to create exploding demon terrorists.

The guy he's killing? He only took the organs from boys, and got a couple girls off of Blackburn without his permission. Nothing beyond the organ trafficking.

God, I love this game.

>> No.1049   [Delete]   [Edit]

Actually, when I found Yume Nikki, it was on a review, and one of the comments made a reference to Killer7. I quote (and translate to english):
"So, in 1 to 10, where 1 is Telettubies and 10 is Killer7, how fucked up this game is?"
"If Killer7 is your 10, go play Yume Nikki."
