As much as I'd like to say I'm not, I am. Yeah, I know it's shitty. I'm just improving. I haven't been drawing forever. and I started drawing recently. I use some refferences and tutorials sometimes, it helps me. I improve little by little.

Thanks for the critique. In this next one I tried to take my time (I'm not very patient, sorry). Here's some more doodles. I think I improved a little bit, tell me if it's better and please be honest. (Yeah, I'm not very proud of the first one I posted either, at least I'm a little proud in this one. ;_;)

Also sorry it's sideways. I accidentally put it in the scanner the wrong way. Oh well.

There are no shitty artists; Every person has about 10,000 "shitty drawings" in them. But if you say that it's "shit" you'll get discouraged and never get past those 10,000 drawings. You just have to keep moving & practicing to get to the good stuff.

The whole reason I made the general/links thread is to help you guys improve. Practice, practice, and PUSH YOUR LIMITS!!!

Not true. There ARE shitty artists. Most people who pick up a pencil are shitty, especially at first. But the thing about drawing is that it's not some magical talent that only certain people can do. It is a learned skill. Anyone can learn to draw well if they have the time and patience. It's true some people have a natural talent for it and learn faster, but anyone can do it. Everyone starts out at the same level as a little kid, the difference is that the kids who like it stick with it and improve, and the kids who don't like it don't keep doing it.

But the real way to tell between someone who really realizes they fucked up and someone who's fishing for compliments is that if you point out what's wrong to the former, they'll say something like "yeah I messed up there pretty bad," but if someone wants their ass kissed they'll get huffy and defensive.
