I need more movies to watch now that I finally got the HDMI cable to plug my laptop into my 55" Samsung LCD.Anybody feel like starting a collection of good Anime/NEET material movies thread? If there was a thread like this, fuck it. Let's revive this shit and make a new one.I will start, I suppose. Just saw Paprika last night off of a recommendation. One of the best movies I have seen and my favorite from Kon. The Girl Who Leapt Through Time <3 I love it so much~ Also, the dub is good.Metropolis (the anime) is awesome too, the ending makes me cry like a baby. That one has a good dub too.

I enjoyed Tekkonkinkreet as well. I was pretty indifferent to Black Rock Shooter. The Dog of Flanders sounds really good, however. Might be worth a watch.
Puddins', why u see everything already?Makoto Shinkai has some cool but bittersweet stuff. 5 cm Per Second and Hoshi no koe are cool, The Place Promised in Our Early Days is just ok. He just released one called "Children Who Chase Lost Voices from Deep Below" that looks like it's gonna be his best.I'm trying to think of what other good ones I've seen that aren't miyazaki or Kon, since everyone's already seen all their stuff.Gah, just remembered a super cool one: Summer Wars! It's really really fun

Hm... Haven't heard of quite a few of these...I might have to check 'em out. ;D
If you haven't seen it already, Cat Soup is really good and very bizarre. So is Kaiba, although the latter is not a movie, it's a 12 episode series. Nonetheless both are incredibly unique and I recommend watching them.
>>1836I loves cat soup. :D

There are a lot of different things you can call NEET material. Movies about depression or growing up are good to fit in that for example. It's Kind of a Funny Story is a very good movie that someone on /n/ might like I think. Also there's a mid-nineties Jim Carrey movie "The Cable Guy" It's a really interesting movie.Anime wise I think that most ghibli films are great choices. Castle in the Sky, Howl's Moving Castle, Kiki's Delivery Service, and My Neighbor Totoro are what I've seen. Castle in the Sky is my favorite, I suggest it first.

well, if we're not going by strictly anime, I suggest The Last Unicorn. There's a bird with 3 boobs and a tree with boobs and a naked lady but you don't really see her boobs. But seriously, it's a cool movie, very 80's
>>1853Well I was thinking strictly anime, but I appreciate that suggestion, considering that is one of my favorite Jim Carrey movies. :D>>1854LOL BOOBS
