Just secure it over an open container and slowly let alcohol into the solution via an eye dropper or small baster. it'll dilute the colors and become lighter. Try it yourself.

What operating system do you have? Is everything else working okay on your computer? Also, try other RPG MAKER game if it runs properly. I think the right board is /yn/ or anything but whatever
There is a troubleshooting thread on /yn/, go ask for help there.
