Just thought I'd post a piece of useful advice for anybody who had the same problem as me with RPGmaker games constantly flickering black. If turning off V-sync doesn't fix the problem completely, exit any programs that constantly update like Rainmeter and Speedfan. Exiting Speedfan fixed it for me, and I can even play with V-sync on.

Good luck finding this information anywhere else on the net. The amount of time I spent trying to find a fix for this shit, goddamn.
