I want to know some alternate game creation platforms/engines.
Yes, RPG maker is the traditional way, but i don't really like it.

Pic somewhat related.

I'm going to make a fangame in UDK. How about that?

Too bad I still have to learn how to use it, though. At the moment I'll just keep writing the scripts.

Of course, I'm looking for something that's 2d. However, i'll give this a look anyway for future use, how's the learning curve?

Well, since I already have alot of experience with the first Unreal Engine, it's not going to be much hard for me.

Too bad it's not 2D though.¬¬

If you're talking about alternate RPGMaker- like platforms, there's an engine called OHRRPGCE (yes, really) that's... well, it's different. Other than that... hell if I know.

Well yes, along those lines.
I will take a look at this OHRRPGCEPHPHEGRRRPS you speak of.

VERGE 3 for the win, baby. It's a hell of a lot more flexible than RPG Maker, at the expense of having to do pretty much everything yourself.

How about Multimedia Fusion 2? Ever tried it?

The programming is similar to RPG Maker's..

I didn't notice these posts and now I've started getting to work in Game Maker 8. I could take a look at those and port everything over, it's mosty graphics that I have so far.
