Ok, I figured out why I couldn't open this, even with applocale. You NEED to change your whole system locale to Japanese for some.. dumb reason.

Anyways, I got it running. I'm going to see if I can rezip this with the file names intact.

I wont spoil anything but there a few more FUCKING BEAUTIFUL areas, a .flow like event, though not as bric shytting, and I've only found one new, interesting effect...
Alot of things are renovated and redesigned. There are a bunch of new sounds for menu, a door opening.
Plus if you can also change System types! Eye, Hand, and Rose I think...
One thing I will say is you will be pulling you HARE out in the new maze... Dohoho~

You can touch the rose buds to make flowers move faster, and pressing shift makes Uso make the most adorable "Muri" squeal <33
Speaking of flowers, the Flower head effect now works as the Poop Hair effect. And Mado braids also let you sit down.

I just downloaded this yesterday, and I've only found a few effects. Although I do say the bag head is one of my favorites, but I haven't found a use for it yet. I'll mess around later.

I thought they would fix these in the patch but they only fixed the Doll in the Gray Girl's Room (Trish?) and the Eye Cube doesn't move around anymore after returning to the nexus.

Also I feel really stupid for not being able to find the scarf effect before... it was under my nose the whole time...

Ok, for some reason, every time I try to extract the game and its patch, a LOT of files are turned into folders and the game won't run. Like, I find tons of empty folders in the chipsets with the names of what the chipsets should be. I use IzArc and I've never had this happen before. And I tried to take out the folders and do everything I could to replace the missing files, but the game will not run at all.

Can one of you upload your version + patch or something? Or does anyone even have an explanation for this?

Honestly, though, Yume Nisshi needs more love. It's a really good game, one of my favorites for sure. It's too bad that there isn't much fanart and very few memorable characters. From what I've seen, all that I can think of who get much attention are Usotsuki, that corpse girl, and now this new dude.

Were it updated just a little more often, I'm sure it'd get more love and attention...

So uhm, looking in the debug room I found out that I have 14 effects out of 16, and the two missing effects should be proto and thorns. But I really do not know where they should be, so uhm, can anybody help me please? I think I'm going to make an effects video guide for this game soon, but first I have to explore it properly.
