Oh! Best of luck op, me and CW are also making a yume nikki-esque exploration game outside of RPGmaker. My only advice is don't make just another -tsuki type character and be patient..
oh and you should probably work in a team with someone who has a similar goal/idea to yours.
Amnesia. Made with an engine very similar to RPG Maker 2k, but I think it has less graphic restrictions.

While Poniko's model is getting finished up for the vid, I thought I'd work on the multiplayer aspect. (Pic is the map crossfire, since I haven't made any multiplayer maps yet. Also note that, of course, there will be no weapons like the ones shown).So anyway, I need ideas for classes for both teams and gameplay elements; anything you can think of. Weapons can be existing effects and they can do different things than they do in the original game (I can separate the multiplayer weapon capabilities from the singleplayer ones), and each class can have its own unique weapons/abilities like the Team Fortress series. I'm not 100% sure though, because my project is just to translate Yume Nikki in my european language (which I would tell you, but I already know there isn't anyone in this *chan from my country).I already know how the extract the script to translate the dialogues (if... there are some dialogues at all) but what really annoy me are the images. Am I the only one who see every single image in the folder as a .XYZ file that cannot be opened with anything? All the text to translate is actually in those images, so I would like to get some help about how to translate them (just to clarify, I have my pc on the japanese settings). Any suggestion? Once I get the files working like properly images file it's gonna be easy to translate them, so please help me. Thanks!

This is seriously annoying because it's not an rpg maker 2003 problem, it's not a .txt problem and it's probabily just a random bug. If it's a random bug, see if you can get past it by just translating the original Japanese version. I mean, it probably won't work if you are finding problems translating it to your language.I'm sorry you haven't had better success.
