(Yes, the pic is bad. I wasn't trying to impress, just give rough example. I suck at MS Paint.)Have you ever had a dream about finding food with an odd stench or color? Did you actually eat that food? I had a dream similar to this on March 13th. I was in a regular restaurant. Not much caught my eye, until I went to get some ice cream. I went for a cone, which is odd because I always use a bowl, and pressed the vanilla button on the soft serve machine. At first the ice cream was vanilla colored, but then it turned green. I thought it may have been mint or something that got mixed in accidentally, but it tasted like bad cabbage or something. I woke up shortly afterwords. So, have any of you had any strange food appear in your dreams?

I just had a dream last night about some really bizarre food at a party I got dragged to... I actually posted about the dream on another thread, but I didnt' focus on the food. But yeah, there was some really weird food there. Strange seafood and weird shellfish I'd never heard of or seen before. It was this really upscale party, so the people there were all eating this food and acting like it was "in" and that this food was classy. It wasn't. They were eating BRISTLEWORMS for God's sake. One thing I remember was some weird, white sea-worm like critter with beady black eyes that was supposedly related to the shrimp. There was also a portion of a little black shell with spikes on its underside. After pressure to eat something, I ate this thing for some reason. It was wet and a little gooey and it tasted... KIND OF like a shrimp, but waaaay worse.I then found out you're supposed to remove the black shell part, and that if my stomach acids weren't strong enough it could tear up my intestines. But it digested.

>>43That's pretty messed up, alright. Do you like sea food, shellfish and stuff such as that? For me, I love stir fried octopus. It tastes like porkchops, but the arms are just slightly chewy. I've had dreams about eating all kinds of amazing sea food like that, but it was never gross and alien seeming like your experience.
>>46Oh yeah, I love seafood. Shrimp is good, crab is great, and lobster is fantastic (but I never have enough money for it D:)I had squid calamari once, but I didn't really like it. To my knowledge, I've never had octopus. I heard the meat is somewhat sweet?I've never perceived such food as creepy or gross, so I'm not sure why my mind decided to throw this weird little wormy thing at me. D:

I had a dream where I took a glass of ginger ale, except it turned into this dark green jello substance. I ate it and actually tasted good.
Oddly enough, a bunch of my dreams involve me eating cannibi, raw, or undercooked meat. I dont know if the two have similar tastes, but it's not bad.
I've never had fruitcake before, but I had a dream that I did o . othe next day, I asked my dad if that was what fruitcake tasted like, and it was right @ . @MINDFUCK.

>>49Just last night I had another dream in which I ate disgusting food.I was eating slices of baguette, and I just fucking chucked all of them up (for some reason they came out still whole). When I'd put them in my mouth they were fine, but once they got in my mouth they tasted awful and moldy. When I looked at them after I spit them out, they were absolutely covered in mold.It was so disgusting. D: D:

I remember once I ate buttered spaghetti and then I started to feel sick. I vomited and they came out as long white worms, still wriggling around. I felt so disgusted afterward. Also in another dream, that spaghetti was used as barbed wire and fences that you could eat. Remembering what happened I decided to stay away and pitied the ones who would dare to eat it. Still it didn't occur to me I was in a dream at that time.
I haven't had any "weird food dreams", but I've dreamt about food a couple of times. In the first dream I was frying a pineapple ring (I have no idea why) and it needed a lot of oil in the pan. Like, a fucking lot. The pineapple ring was like swimming in the oil in the pan.Strangely enoough, when I woke up, I felt kind of sick. Even though I didn't even eat it.In the second dream I was at some kind of fancy party and there was lots of sweet food, cookies, chocolate, cordials, some fancy-looking candies, cake etc. I loaded like everything on my plate and was all "Yay, let's eat!! :D :D" But then someone came to me and said that we'd have to leave the party.I woke up, pissed at the fact that I hadn't eaten anything and feeling sick again. It seems that everytime I have a dream with food in it, I will feel sick the next morning.

>>151 I just had another dream involving spaghetti for some reason. A bunch of people I don't know are at my house and we're sitting down to eat supper. There are 2 bottles of white and red wine, in case you dislike one of them. We're eating spaghetti without anything on it and it doesn't taste very good obviously. One of them takes the white wine and poors it into his bowl making it look like chicken noodle soup. He said it tasted good.
I once caught a jellyfish that was floating around in my living room and bit into it. It was the most delicious muffin ever.
>>162The amount of win in that is almost insurmountable.
Gummy worms. An endless supply. I ate and ate and ate. Then, the shock of what I was actually eating and the sugar/fat content hit. And I woke up in a cold sweat.
I had this wack dream years ago when I was prolly a newborn.I saw this frying pan that had what looked like red, blue and purple berries in it on the ceiling. I would stare at it, and the berries kept buldging out at me. Then I took it, stirred it up, and they became blended together. I don't know if I ate it, I might've did.I remember waking up with a taste of playdough in my mouth...
I remember I had a dream once where I was eating rice in my kitchen. I suddenly started to feel sick so I started spitting the rice into the sink, only it had turned into a bunch of tiny brown maggots instead. It fel really gross, they were sticking to my gums and I had to pick them out of my mouth. I woke up right after that, though.

I had a dream my family forced me to drink fishbowl water with flies floating in it.
>>274Huh, maybe I posted it here once before /yume/ exploded. I don't remember.
I'm not going to say my whole dream but just the part where I ate or else it would be too long.I finished killing off the lantern beasts in the garden where I was and started looking for an exit. In the corner of wall (Castle like walls) were a bunch off canon balls and a barrel filled with poppy seeds. The only difference was they were big like finger nails. I took a handful and ate them. They had a crunchy outside and a soft, tender, juicy inside and tasted just like blueberries.
Well I was traveling on a large dark blue board floating on lava, and we had to stay where we were or else it would flip. Fortunately someone had brought food, it was lasagna with pickles and other weird stuff in it. It didn't taste good, but it didn't taste bad either. There was taste about we could only last 2 weeks because we only had 14 portions of lasagna, 14 extra pickles and 14 beers.
I once went to a friend's shithole apartment to see that he ha made some kind of weird snacks. I didn't want to offend him, so I ate some. Basically, it was a huge block of what looked like pink kitchen sponge, cut up into smaller blocks. It actually turned out to be a decent strawberry snack. It was a bit dense because of an error during cooking, but I would eat it again.
Every time I eat anything in a dream I can actually taste it.Almost, anyway.I hate it when I'm just about to get to eat something I normally don't, like ice creme cake, and I'm woken up by something or someone. It really cheeses me off (no pun intended).

I can literally only recall one dream where food was involved even remotely. So, I was in this house (which later sprouted wheels and started driving itself) during this "party". There was a (very tiny) pizza on top of a (very tiny) table. I took a slice (which was roughly the size of a pencil) and it tasted like cardboard.
bug sandwichesabc chocolate gum'nuff said. But I also had this emu/cassowary-sized drumstick of a bird called benlow, that even if you cook it it maintains a mildly raw texture. It was so tasty I kind of wish it actually existed.

I always wake up before I taste any food in my dreams, when I have dreams that is. I wake up, and it turns out I was reaching for a lump in the blanket or the corner of a pillow. o.O
The only things I've ever eaten in dreams were peanuts, which I happen to be allergic. They taste horrible and I suffer the same ill feelings as I would in real life; but the dream always ends before any actual harm happens to me.
I came on this site, because I need some closure about a dream I had. In the dream someone handed me stir fried rice, but as I put a fork full in my mouth, the taste and texture hit me. It tasted as if someone had pulled a bunch of hair from their comb and roll it up between their hands into an elongated ball. Furthermore, the hair mass was half in my mouth and half in my esophagus. It was BY FAR the most foul-rotten flavour I've ever experienced. I looked at my plate and found the rice mixed in with what appeared to be rolled up house centipedes (I've attached a link of what these look like in case you haven't had the pleasure of seeing one in person).I abruptly woke up, and the worst part is, I could still taste the insect. I could also feel the peristaltic contractions of my esophagus moving the insect into my stomach.I've heard the average person swallows 8 spiders a year, I believe this was my dream telling me I just ate an insect, what do you think?

I had some absolutely delicious pastries while our roller-coaster had a pit stop in the food plaza. And tiny rocks fruits or seeds, there were barrels of them, next to the castle walls like they're supposed to be ammunition, like cannonballs the size of grain of rice. They were delicious and tasted like blueberries.
