So I recently had my first dream years. I've always had trouble remembering them, but I looked around to find out a solution. Thus, I got some advice and put it to the test. I woke up twice that night, but couldn't remember anything, but after going to sleep again I had this dream:
It starts out with a bunch of people standing around me and some group of machines. I think the people were acquaintances, but I didn't feel anything towards them. Apparantly, the world was under seige from a Zombie Apocalypse and the only way to stop it was to go inside these strange pods and protect a little girl inside some alternate reality simulator thingy.
I was very reluctant and everyone was quite understanding, but there was this old bitchy lady who whined at me a bit. After everyone else went in the pods and "slept", I decided to check the place out. I went up some stairs and found myself in the top floor. It was full of mattresses and soft things that I had to awkwardly crawl over. Everything was dark and unsettling, save for a window or two letting light in. I opted to go back down and hold the fort.
When I entered the pod room I noticed that some people's vitality screens were red, meaning they died. "The other world must be even more dangerous than I thought" I said to myself. Eventually, all that was left was three regular dudes I knew a bit better (in my dream). I was hearing strange sounds coming from upstairs and I didn't want the world to end so I jumped in a pod.
The other world was dark as well, but was barely lit by a reddish lantern behind me. I found myself in a fairly cramped area made of soft mattresses and blankets. I saw the two guys, I saw the zombies clawing to get through the openings in our mattress fort, and, most of all, I saw the little girl. Her hair was a deep black and her eyes were large and still had a youthful shine. Her skin was pale white, but looked soft and healthy. She was small, perhaps no more than four feet tall. She almost looked like Saya from "Saya no Uta". This is why it seemed almost out of character for her to be firing a shotgun into the never-ending crowd of zombies. I jumped up, or as high as the cramped soft-fort would allow me, and looked for a weapon. I found a butter knife, or maybe a fork, and became determined, like if I had just picked up a huge 50 cal or something. I went to town, slicing up zombie necks and stabbing them with my tiny silverware weapon. Eventually, though, the other two began to run low on bullets and had no idea how to use my excellent plate-fu and began to falter. The zombies kept creeping in, closer to the girl as I frantically pushed them back, slicing and stabbing. Nearly ten seconds later, they were nearly upon us, clawing at the two guys. The girl looked to me and smiled sweetly before biting into my arm. I don't remember whether she looked malicious or if she was doing it gently, but I still felt a panic rise over me. I shoved her off and I ran before I could see her reaction. I busted out through the stairway, clogged with zombies, until I looked back and saw that the zombies' attention turned unanimously towards me. I ran up and through and jumped out the window to find myself on an island that was surrounded by yet more islands. I gathered my strength and jumped, thinking I'd swim to another island, but I flew high.
I jumped all the way across to another island. Amazed, I continued jumping, going higher and higher before I realized that I looked like Alex Mercer from Prototype, jumping this high. I heard the zombies scream intelligible words to their "commanders", trying to stop me. Things like "he's getting away" and "get him!" were said several times. I jumped and jumped until I came across a lone island with something on it. I remember it being one of two things: a crater surrounded by four huge spires, or one humongous spire surrounded by the same four spires. Nevertheless, something exited and I found myself looking at a ball of white.
I noticed that the thing was Kyubey (pic related) from a show I've been watching called Madoka Magica. Knowing the nature of Kyubey, I felt only malice towards it until I realized that it wasn't actually Kyubey. It was much more cute, didn't seem disturbingly innocent or strange. It just lay there rolling in the dirt a bit and being adorable. The zombies came back tenfold, looking to eat the cute thing, so I fought them off. I still had my utensil, so I hacked and slashed for a while before I woke up due to my relatives calling in need of some help with a boat.
That was like the first dream I've remembered in forever. I feel that this is because of my looking on here for advice. What with everyone having awesome dreams, I wanted one as well and wanted to learn to dream more or remember.
Thanks for the help guys!
