i tried downloading the game from the website, and got it downloaded and everything. but when i try to play the game, i am unable to move the character. the only thing i can do is access the inventory screen by pressing alt. i have tried this multiple times before, but can never seem to get it to work. help!

good news! im an idiot for not thinking of this before, but i restarted my computer and now it works. im so pumped to finally be able to play the game, you cannot believe it. this board has just gained a new member :)

Awesome! And, shut your PC down more often. It increases the physical life of the machine by reducing dust blown in via the cooling fan. It was on the entire problem? Also, deleting everything in Temp helps keep programs running correctly. Most files shouldn't remain in Temp. In fact, the worst error you can generally get would require a restart, which I doubt happening.

I take it that you've never had a job where you've had to work in the woods in a relatively remote area. Seriously, when I had worked for the NPS, it would have been much easier for me to stand up peeing than it would have been squatting down; I had to constantly fuss around with my pants, making certain that I didn't make a mess.

I had too much fun on Buddy Poke ; n ; I made it look a little speshuler in Paint. Harhar, two second thought bubble.

Sadly, they didn't have proper braids or anything so I had to go with Long Hair. Lets just pretend Madotsuki fell asleep without her iconic hairdo~

Actually, a friend and I were going to theme our rooms after YN worlds. She doesn't remember which world she was going to have hers as, but I'm going to theme mine after the Monochrome world. It'll take a while, but it'll be worth waking up and seeing Takofuusen on my ceiling.

Am I the only one who thinks his videos suck? They're boring and he doesn't even have a Uboa video! I don't get how someone can have Yume Nikki videos and not have Uboa. On top of that, a friend of mine met him and apparently he's a total asshole and doesn't know half as much about YN as he claims to.

Personally I preferred this guy's videos over LoudMan1's Let's Play, at least for walkthrough value (LoudMan's is funnier by default because he talks in his), because his videos are specifically "How to find x". I want to find X, I watch a video called "how to find x". It's nice when practically the only other alternative is a Let's Play that's not as specific in each vid.

Sure everyone knows about good ol' takofuusen nowadays, but I doubt anyone (or very few at least) knew of him a year ago. so this person was like "OMGWTFISTHISIDONTEVEN" and uploaded the video.
