Do any of you have a theory for why the jellyfish are standing around Madotsuki when she die?And while we're at it, what or who might they be?
Well, I have this wierd theory. She lives in another world, with monsters and strange things wandering around, so she is afraid of going outside. Also, that´s why she sees these things in her dreams, she doesn´t makes them up, she saw them. So she can´t go outside because these things are there, but she can´t go to her dreams world because they get in there too, so she suicides.
My personal theory is that the jellyfish are actually bystanders who saw Madotsuki fall, and maybe a few policemen and paramedics; however, since Madotsuki is dying, she sees them as dream monsters.
I've seen some japanese fanart showing the jellyfish as some sort of Buddhist priest, they have a bell (death chimes?) and ingame you can actually see feet under their tentacles.Seeing how there is one next to the guy who was run over, they are meant to symbolize death?

the jellyfish always reminded me of men with the skin stripped off of them. Like >>683 said, they have feet- but the festery pustule-looking things on top would make me question that... unless that's how she sees herself inside or some shit like that
Yea, they must symbolize accident/incident. They always are near incidents/accidents/tragedies.Dead person Shitai, there is one. Car crash's presence is obvious. They gather around what is left of Madotsuki, in the end. (Suicide)

So like... I think that those are obiously apart of her dreams or a place thats not the real world. i never even think she was in the real world to begain with. i think that she had been transported or something. maybe this is heaven? hell?
i used a dream dictionary:Jellyfish To see a jellyfish in your dream, represents painful memories that is emerging from your unconscious. There may be hidden hostility or aggression in some aspect of your waking relationship or situation. Alternatively, it may indicate feelings of inadequacy and a lack of self-esteem. Perhaps there is some situation in which you are unable to assert yourself.
