I know this isn't really a theory itself but rather theory fuel, but well, don't you think he onion-jellyfish things near Mado's puddle at the end might mean something?Did she just go to the dream world forever by commiting suicide on the real world (or perhaps the it's the other way around).IMO that probably means something.

There are a few possibilities:Madotsuki killed herself in the real world, thus killing her for good. The bloodstain that we are shown, which I am assuming is in the dream world, is representative of this event. This has some interesting implications. If the dream world is entirely a product of Madotsuki's mind, or what have you, then wouldn't it be destroyed if she is dead? If she is dead, and the dream world still exists, then perhaps the dream world is home to some sort of greater force, and Madotsuki is merely an interloper? The dream world actually IS all inside Madotsuki's head, and the presence of it indicates that she is alive. Is it possible to die in the dream world? If so, what happens, if anything? Madotsuki has somehow made a bridge between the dream world and the real world, allowing the two to intermingle. This theory, like the first, suggests that the dream world exists outside of Madotsuki's mind; however, there also is the possibility that she is capable of creating such a realm.Madotsuki was dead from the beginning, and she is an immaterial being, trapped in the dream world for whatever reason. Her death has taken her to a different plane of existence, or merely erased her from any existence at all. It's also possible that her suicide failed, because she cannot die.The dream world IS the real world. That's all I can think of at this moment. Last edited 10/09/14(Tue)20:32.

>>1702I originally tought that by the end she didn't really wake up, she just left everything in the nexus and faked the pinch (to make sure all the creatures there tought she was awake), she then proceeded to kill herself in the dream world, so that she could never come back, leaving behind (and possibly destroying) all the past that haunts her dreams (this theory makes much more sense combined with the usual "dead friends" theory, now to mention how she always has the same dreams.) >>1702So then (going with the dream world being separate from Madotsuki) the off games would be... like others visiting the same dream world, but different parts of it? I dunno, I have only just started playing .flow and I'm only about 9 effects in, but the neon world in there is pretty darn similar. Are there any other areas in .flow or 2kki that are similar to YN places? so that's an area where the two areas possibly merge? And maybe... just maybe, based on where you are in the real world, you also are in a different area in the dream world. I dunno guys I'm just guessing stuff right now. And the reason it's different is because... I dunno maybe everyone perceives things differently, which is what's happening here?
Looking for an ending theory, check these, OP: >>2237 >>2243 Last edited 11/07/01(Fri)19:23.

She could have gotten brain damage and started hallucinating, or she could be in a coma like the other guy said.Even worse, she could be alive and hallucinating for those last few seconds and then be dying as signified by the fade to black. If she's hallucinating, then the jellyfish could be two passersby that came when they saw that the sky had a baby.
