Let's gather all the images of Mado's cameos in this thread!
A shot from the first episode of Zetsubou SenseiThe series has a running gag of the "chalkboard references", where the creator, simply put, throws random quotes or references on the board for fans to acknowledge.I have reason to believe that this refers to Yume Nikki (and Mado in particular), after her and Masada crash on Mars. >>2489uhthat looks nothing like mado's hairstyle other than the fact that part of it done up in scrunchies.sorry :<
I think they honestly used Madotsuki as a reference for a magical girl in Madoka.Elly is described as being very reclusive, with brown hair + pigtails. Additionally her Grief Seed has the same pattern as Madotsuki's shirt.

>>2493Holy shit, it's like supermado or something. She looks EXACTLY like her AND uses knives on top of that. Who's homaging who, when was this show made?
>>2501That picture was fanart of Elly/Mado. Here's Elly's witch card in Madoka."The box witch with a covetous nature. She is a staunchly reclusive witch. Anything she covets she locks away within glass. The thoughts of her prisoners are laid bare, but one can strike her without thought without problems."

Uh this might sound totally retarded, but if I ever end up making a cartoon/comicbook/videogame/movie or something in the future (99% never gonna happen, I plan on being a teacher. Maybe I could draw up a comic book while the kids work or something) I wanna put in an unimportant but reoccurring side character called "Madoline" (spelled wrong to sound like madotsuki) who would look like our mado; brown braids, eyes always closed, pink sweater, reddish-brownish skirt, maybe always sleeping in class, ect. Not to be a terrible copy-cat, but kinda in tribute. That's....not horrible, is it? I'd really try to just keep her in the background, where you could notice her and be like "oh hey!" but she wouldn't be important to the plot and wouldn't ever talk. Is this a good idea? Maybe someone else could do this if you think you're more likely to ever make anything... gah I should shut up now I am the worst poster. Also >2469 made me lol

>>2770Look up Ghost Hound, tell me that little girl isn't identical. I mean besides the "Every girl with pigtails" bit. Her attitude is spot on too.
>>2817Woah, I meant to post this back when I watched the series around march/april and I never remembered to. The scene where she was wearing the red jacket with her braids and riding a bike in the forest, I freaked. I mean, it's not THAT similar, but it kinda is : 3
>>2538>(99% never gonna happen, I plan on being a teacher. Maybe I could draw up a comic book while the kids work or something)Hey, wasn't Masamune Shirow a teacher? I think I read that somewhere, the reason he used a pseudonym was so his students wouldn't recognize him.

SHE IS EVERYWHERE!
>>2842well, first I'd need some talent and a single decent idea for a story that doesn't take place in a complete fantasy world, then...
I don't have a screenie, but have any of you ever read the horror manga Uzumaki? There's a chapter where the zombie preggo ladies have hand drills and are about to feed off the flesh. The first panel you see of ALL of them together has a Madotsuki in the second row. Murderous, kinda squinty, braids.MADO THE PREGGO MADO THE PREGGO
