How many characters and creatures "have names"?There's our well-known Uboa, Poniko, Monoko, Monoe, Masada (or Sentimental Aureole Michael Sakamoto Dada-sensei), Kyukkyu-kun.The igloo girl, Kamakurako. The Dead Guy called Shitai (I didn't realize that was his name before, I've read him being called 'sitai' a long time ago). Meaning corpse.Takofuusen, the big white thing on the white desert that passes running.I've seen the scarf girl being called both Mahura and Mafuraako. Which one is the "real"?I've also seen the red jellyfish guys called Kurage. That means jellyfish... So it's kinda useless for us.There's Onsen/Hot-Springs, and Tokuto... Actually, what does "tokuto" mean? I know he's the blood-bucket guy, but...I've seen the faceless girls being called "majo" once, which means witch, but I'm not sure if it's their name. Since I've seen it only once and all.Are there other names?

The only official name is Madotsuki. Everyone else's name is given by fans.
>>156I thought that hackers found some of the characters names (i.e. Uboa, Poniko, Monoko, Monoe, and Seccom Masada-sensei) located somewhere within the game's programming. Last edited 09/06/05(Fri)17:50.

Seccom Masada means something in japanese, I want to say it has something to do with a Piano, but I forgot. Tokuto I'm not sure of either, but I assume it has something to do with what he does or how looks, as most monsters/characters are named based on their appearance or what they do.Every other monster though, probably aren't named. The only reason (I think) that most of the above are named is because they're somewhat popular or 'well known' by the fan base. Like that depressed looking blob that recently got some fan art, he doesn't seem to have a name last I recall.

Nobody remembers the toriningen :(
>>157No, all the Hackers found were that the NPCs had names after the areas they appear in. In fact, Madotsuki only has a name because RPG Maker requires it (probably). The names are fan-given, the files don't contain legitimate names for anything else in the game.
I actually understand the scarf thing. Mafura, Mafuraako, one's short for the other, it just means "Muffler Girl". Mufflers I think are more popular than scarves maybe in Japan. Unless they call scarves mufflers there.I also get Poniko (Poni for Ponytail, and Monoko (Mono for Monochrome). Not sure about "Uboa", Monoe, or Seccom Masada. Which I would assume would be badly romanized as "Sekkomu", if that means anything.Someone should also explain Kyukyu.

KyuKyu is IIRC onomatopoeia for rubbing. Thus his name is something like "RubRub".
>>164I believe Monoe is the same as Monoko, but with a different ending

I believe Monoe is the same as Monoko, but with a different ending
>>173Monoko is probably from "Monochromatic (Mono) Girl (Ko)" or "Monoku(romu)", monochrome.Monoe... Well, I'm not sure what that 'e' means, but it's most likely the same thing.
>>175i believe 'e' means art or painting... but i am not 100% sure
>>163Ah. Considering that I haven't hacked the game myself, I'll take your word for it.
>>179I can't really read what's written in my Yume Nikki events because the names got all messed up. But from what I can see, none of them have official names.
